Michaeli Gotley joins growing Check Point team in Australia

Check Point bolsters mid market opportunities in Australia

Sydney, Australia – 10 April 2013 – Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd today announced the appointment of Michaeli Gotley as mid market sales manager for the Australian region, who will lead Check Point’s growth in the mid market sector.

As mid market sales manager, Michaeli leads a team of eight dedicated to Check Point’s mid market partners and customers in Australia and New Zealand. She will be responsible for developing a sharper focus on mid market opportunities and driving sales and growth in Australia’s mid-sized business market sector.

Michaeli is a senior sales and marketing professional with 20 years’ experience in the information technology industry. She brings with her proven leadership experience in Australia and Asia Pacific across a broad range of sectors.

Michaeli joins Check Point from her most recent role in small to medium business (SMB) sales and marketing management at Microsoft Australia, where she led the cloud sales and marketing business for SMB. Previously, Michaeli was group marketing manager for Microsoft Australia’s Business Solutions Group; senior integrated communications manager for Microsoft Australia; regional marketing director, Asia Pacific, for RSA Security; and director at Gotley Nix Evans Marketing Communications.

Commenting on her new role, Michaeli believes Check Point is well placed to increase its market share amongst mid market customers: “Check Point has a wide range of security solutions designed specifically for the mid sized business market segment,” she said. “I’m looking forward to helping build upon Check Point’s success locally.”

Michaeli holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Technology in Sydney and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Technology.
