Distribution Central to Market Fujitsu PRIMERGY Server Range in ANZ

Announcement posted by Fujitsu Australia Limited 22 Apr 2013

Agreement expands enterprise-class server infrastructure into mid and upper channel markets
Sydney  – 22 April 2013 – Fujitsu announces it has appointed Distribution Central Pty Limited®, a leader in technology distribution and channel services, as a value-added distributor of Fujitsu’s PRIMERGY server range in Australia and New Zealand.

This new partnership will expand the reach of PRIMERGY servers into mid to upper channel markets as Distribution Central (DC) leverages Fujitsu’s enterprise-class technology as part of its data centre offering. The company will also market the servers to its highly skilled and accredited reseller partner base as a stand-alone solution for traditional applications of this leading server technology.

The PRIMERGY servers will be distributed through SAN Systems, a DC business unit specialising in storage and data centre solutions, and providing a full suite of reseller support services.

Nick Verykios, Managing Director, Distribution Central, said: “The introduction of Fujitsu’s server range into the SAN Systems’ portfolio will fast track DC's Product on Demand (POD) portfolio delivered through our DC PodFactory service. We’ll be able to deliver scalable solutions to enable end-customers to grow along with their business.”

DC’s PODs include existing reference infrastructures and integrate various vendor offerings to create solutions that solve contemporary business problems. These PODs can also be configured, validated, supported and asset managed through DC’s SaaS channel management platform and support services. Initial POD offerings will include architectures involving Fujitsu, NetApp, CommVault, Splunk and Brocade.

Alistair Latham, Group Executive Director, Infrastructure Solutions and Support at Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, said: “Fujitsu welcomes Distribution Central as a value-added distribution partner. Its specialist expertise and solution orientation ensures quality delivery of our technologies to high-end customers through the Fujitsu channel. Crucially, this distribution agreement will also see individual resellers take our PRIMERGY servers as business technology components into broader, mid-range sections of the market, as well as enable Distribution Central to provide new integrated solutions for Fujitsu partners.”
