Derby and Well to launch in Melbourne
Derby and Well, a guerilla restaurant concept fusing modern technique and an innovative approach to cooking, will launch at The Vine Hotel in Collingwood on May 14 and 15, 2013.
The brainchild of chef Ron O’Bryan, Derby and Well realises a long held dream of experiential eating, collaborating with some of Melbourne’s most exciting chefs in delivering unique gastronomic concepts.
Derby and Well partners with sommelier and front of house manager Anthony Langdon, providing a focus on boutique and small batch wines and providing diners with an extraordinary and unforgettable experience.
The Vine in Wellington Street, Collingwood is all about food that is smart, honest, affordable and is focused on quality produce, prepared and delivered with integrity.
Taking over the venue in 2011, Chef Ron O’Bryan and his wife Kirsty are determined to keep the venue as it should be – appealing to locals and food lovers from near and far. Ron has some great cooking credibility, with stints at some of Melbourne’s better eateries. He relishes the opportunity that being in a small business brings him – the chance to get on the floor and chat to his guests, serving the food that he has prepared in the kitchen and devising food that he believes in.
The menu for Derby and Well offers a five course degustation menu for $79 per person, with matched wines at an additional $48pp.
Limited to just 30 people per event, Derby and Well will be a monthly feature at The Vine Hotel.
