Zebra ZXP Series 7: Print photo-like cards for high-volume apps

Technology distributor Comworth has introduced the Zebra ZXP Series 7 card printer, which it says is ideal for printing cards in high volume. The device produces single or dual-sided identification and other ‘credit card’ style cards with near-photo quality, fast and reliably, and customers can be assured of security and speed of card delivery.

Product manager Paul Francois says the Zebra ZXP Series 7 card printer ticks all the right boxes. “It’s fast, it’s simple to use and maintain, it’s innovatively designed, and it’s great value too. Time after time, it prints sharp, vivid cards with precise colour control.”

The ZXP Series 7 is ideal for customers requiring high quality and secure card printing, such as government and enterprise, and high volume applications including education and service bureaus. It delivers near-photo quality with a resolution of 300dpi, the ability to print holograms (for security) and produces up to 1375 mono or 300 full colour cards per hour.

MIFARE® plus other contactless and contact Smart Cards, as well as magnetic stripe cards can be printed and encoded through easily added options.

Francois notes that the ZXP Series 7 printer uses Zebra’s True Colours ix Series ribbons and Zebra True Secure i Series laminates. The laminates are available in several types: clear, magnetic stripe, magnetic stripe with signature panel, smart card, and holographic wallpaper designs.
