High brightness and low cost projection solution, perfect for conferences, classrooms and meetings.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (May 14, 2013) Acer today is excited to announce the P7215, an innovative new projector designed to cater to the large space projection market. The super bright single lamp allows clear visuals even in a well lit room, making this projector a perfect solution for use in larger rooms and venues.
The lamp of the Acer P7215 is capable of delivering 6000 lumens of light on a single bulb. It is also one of the cheapest to run with up to 2000 hours of operation at an energy rating of only 350 watts. This low power consumption is not only eco-friendly but dramatically reduces operating costs as well. Unlike other high brightness projectors on the market, which use multiple lamps to achieve brightness, the single lamp in the P7215 means that replacing a lamp is cheaper as well.
"When it comes to large room presentations, the brighter the projector, the more value it has for our customers", said David Sunton, General Manager of Marketing at Acer Australia, "We designed the P7215 to be suitable for well-lit larger venues thanks to its 6000 lumen lamp but we also wanted to deliver on the promise of low operation costs without compromising on features."
The P7215 is a DLP projector with a six-segment colour wheel, a native resolution of 1024x768 and support for Full HD content. It is capable of crisp visuals with immaculate 30-bit colour reproduction and a contrast ratio of 2100:1. It is also DLP 3D ready, able to display at a maximum 120Hz refresh rate for a flicker-free 3D experience.
The matte black chassis is sturdy in construction with a sophisticated design that will fit into the decor of any corporate or education environment. The unit can be ceiling mounted and has both horizontal and vertical keystone correction giving it flexibility when it comes to placement in the room. The P7215 also boasts a top-loading lamp which allows users to replace the lamp quickly and easily, even if the projector is ceiling mounted.
The Acer P7215 comes with a huge range of connection options including a DVI port and HDMI connector for digital content, two VGA ports for analogue content and a VGA-out loop-through port. It also has component, composite and s-video connectors allowing it to display an array of legacy AV equipment. In addition, there are three PC audio in ports, an audio out jack and an Ethernet port for LAN control. Finally, there is a mini-USB port, RS232 port and a 12C DV out connector for screen control.
The projector is also Crestron Network System compliant for easy control over LAN allowing content to be broadcast to multiple projectors at once. Using the Crestron RoomView software, administrators and support staff can also take remote control of a projector to troubleshoot issues, track lamp life and schedule power on/off times complete with email alerts. In a large scale environment like schools and universities, LAN control is essential, making the Acer P7215 a powerful tool for business and education.
In addition to the 350 watt low power lamp performance, the projector also uses Acer EcoProjection technology which reduces standby power consumption by up to 90 percent and an Auto-ECO feature which automatically enters ECO mode if there is no signal input for 5 minutes, resulting in up to 20 percent further reduction of power consumption.
