All-star Sydney chef line up for Starlight

Exclusive dining experience: Starlight's Five Chefs Dinner - 30 May, 6pm

Tomorrow, the Starlight Children’s Foundation will host the prestigious Starlight Five Chefs Dinner in Sydney, where guests can help transform the experience of hospitalisation for seriously ill children across Australia.

Starlight Five Chefs Dinner is an exclusive dining experience and one of Starlight’s signature fundraising events, showcasing Australia’s best chefs and raising much-needed funds.

To celebrate 25 years of Starlight in Australia, this year's dinner will be bigger than ever and will feature a special five-course degustation menu created by a group of ten of the state’s best chefs, who will pair up to collaborate on one course each – matched expertly with some of Australia’s best wines.

The chefs include, Armando Percuoco of Buon Ricordo and Jonathan Barthelmess of The Apollo, Tetsuya Wakuda of Tetsuya’s Restaurant and James Viles of Biota Dining, Hamish Ingham of The Woods and Maggie Beer, Brent Savage of Bentley Restaurant & Bar and Ross Lusted of The Bridge Room,Yves Scherrer of Ananas Bar & Brasserie and Adriano Zumbo.

    VIPs:      Performance by R&B singer Jessica Mauboy, MC Catriona Rowntree, ten celebrity chefs including Tetsuya Wakuda, Adriano Zumbo and Maggie Beer and VIP guests.


With virtually everything on the night donated, the funds raised go directly to transform the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families.

Starlight Chief Executive, Louise Baxter said: "Thanks to the generosity of the chefs, suppliers and supporters responsible for bringing this year's Five Chefs event to life, Starlight can continue to deliver its many innovative programs to thousands of chronically ill children around the country."

The renowned event is a highlight on the fundraising social calendar, which wouldn't be possible without the generosity of Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, Virgin Australia and Vittoria Coffee
