Timepoor Tradies Turn To Virtual Tools

Announcement posted by Pulse PR 05 Sep 2013

Thanks to the launch of an innovative new service, Tradies VA, time poor tradies can now obtain cost-effective assistance with their administration and paperwork jobs - without the traditional headaches associated with staffing.

Launched in March, Tradies VA is the brainchild of Michaela Clark, a virtual assistant and self-professed tradies wife who knows all too well the stresses tradies associate with having to juggle accounts and paperwork in addition to their time on the tools.

Said Michaela, “I experienced first hand the ongoing challenges that tradies face. They must meet demand for their services in order to generate income but this leaves little time for administration and providing quality customer service.”

“In our case, it really impacted upon our family.  My plasterer husband was working huge hours trying to juggle his job and the paperwork and I saw a real gap in the marketplace – pun intended!  I just knew there had to be a better way to not only help my husband but to also assist other tradies in the same situation.”

Being the owner of a successful virtual assistant company, it made sense for Michaela to combine her knowledge of a tradies life with her passion for cost effective, virtual technology.

As a result, Tradies VA is now assisting trades people from across Australia with all areas of their business, from accounts and invoicing to taking phone calls and job scheduling.

The service is also assisting tradies to operate from “The Cloud” so that they can work from the road on tablets, increasing operational efficiencies and saving time and money.

Adds Michaela, “I know my husband isn’t alone – not all tradies have the cash flow or time to appoint and manage staff.  I could see that the only way for him to work less and make more money was to have someone else managing these tasks but without the burden of the overheads associated with employing staff.”

Michaela believes her new service provides tradies with a win-win situation.

“The Tradies VA service allows trades people to have more time on their hands to win new business or physically complete more jobs.  It also means tradies won’t have to worry about constantly chasing invoices providing a positive outcome for their cash flow,” she explained.

“Imagine what that means for time-poor tradies; more time for the family, fishing and holidays or more time for focusing on future business growth and improvements.”
