Excitement is building with less than four weeks until the 6th Annual Melbourne Leisurefest, Victoria's biggest outdoor recreation show that will be held at Sandown Racecourse from October 3 to 6, 2013.

This year's Melbourne Leisurefest promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more boating, camping, fishing, RV and 4x4 exhibitors showing off the latest and greatest products and innovations.

As always there is much more to Melbourne Leisurefest than just amazing products – there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

One lucky visitor will drive away with a brand new Red Rock Traveller Semi Off-Road Camper Trailer worth $15,000, which is first prize in the Show’s Passport Competition. This fantastic rear fold camper trailer features a deluxe side slide-out kitchen, a large toolbox and sunroom walls.

Second Prize is an Oztrail 12 x 9 cabin tent valued at $1100, third prize is a WAECO CF 35 fridge valued at $1049 and fourth prize is a Thermal Cookware package including Thermos Shuttle Chef, saucepans and accessory package valued at $575. The total value of prizes is $17,724.

Discover Downunder host and comedian Tim Smith is back with his ever-popular Celebrity Cook-Off, pitting punters and celebrities against each other in a no-holds barred sizzling showdown with great prizes on offer and plenty of laughs and entertainment.

There will also be free rides and entertainment for the kids as well as product demonstrations so that you can get the most from your next great Aussie adventure.

“The Melbourne Leisurefest has a wider range of products to view this year,” said Rob Lucas, CEO of the Caravan and Trades Industry Association of Victoria.
