Starlight releases exclusive 'Shine On Kids' DVD

This Christmas, Starlight Children’s Foundation has released Shine On Kids, a DVD to help raise $1.2 million to grant 185 life-changing Starlight Wishes for seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families.

Supporters can buy Starlight's exclusive Shine On Kids DVD for someone special this festive season, which features the best in kids entertainment ideal for children zero to six years of age.

Popular kids programs featured in the three-hour compilation include Chuggington, Curious George, Hi-5, Jungle Book, The Looney Tunes Show, My Little Pony, Peppa Pig, The Wiggles and Wow Wow Wubbzy.

Shoppers can purchase the DVD online at shop.starlight.org.au or at Big W, Coles, Kmart, Myer, Sanity, Target and Woolworths, with at least $5 from every sale of the RRP $11.95 DVD donated to Starlight’s wish granting and in-hospital programs.

Each Starlight Wish requires an average of $6,500 in funding. In addition to fundraising through sales of the Shine on Kids DVD, this Christmas Starlight is asking Australians
‘Join the Mission’ by rallying friends, family, colleagues and staff to donate to the cause.

Hi-5 are proud ambassadors of Starlight, who is this year celebrating 25 years of supporting seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families across Australia.

Hi-5 cast member, Lauren Brant said: “Anything we can do as a group to bring laughter into the lives of sick children and their families is extremely rewarding. It’s a privilege to be able to support a great cause like Starlight and assist in raising vital funds so that no child misses out.”
