Check Point appoints Steve McWhirter as vice president of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa sales

6 February 2014 — Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced the appointment of Steve McWhirter as vice president of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa sales, where he will be responsible for Check Point’s market and business growth in the regions. McWhirter will focus on strategy, structure and operational plans in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

 

McWhirter brings with him more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Check Point, he worked at Salesforce.com, Hewlett-Packard and IBM where he held various senior sales management roles. McWhirter is based in Singapore and will report to Amnon Bar-Lev, President of Check Point Software Technologies.
