Low cost mobile broadband pioneer Globalgig today fired another major salvo across the bows of the mobile broadband market by extending its Home & Abroad plan to offer all-inclusive mobile data for use in Australia, USA, UK and Ireland from just $9 for 1GB, plus access to an additional 36 countries in the Globalgig network at incredibly low per MB prices.
Globalgig GM James Boardman explained, “This is the plan that changes everything. In truth it's the way that mobile broadband should be and should always have been. Our new Home & Abroad plan is incredibly good value when you use it in Australia. Then, if you go overseas you still get that same incredible value in the USA, UK and Ireland – all part of the same data bundle. Then if you want to use our mobile broadband in one of our other 36 countries you only pay per MB for what you use, for example France and Germany now cost only ten cents per MB which is a fraction of the price of some of the major Telcos, so if you're downloading 5Mb it will only cost you 50 cents.”
Globalgig has always challenged what it sees as the unfair mobile broadband and data plans offered by major Telcos. With its new Home & Abroad plan Globalgig guarantees its customers do not have to buy bundles or bolt-ons or have to deal with lifting roaming bars or unexpected roaming costs.
