Curated Online Art Gallery Helps Emerging Australian Artists Gain Exposure

Announcement posted by StateoftheART Gallery 14 Mar 2014

A new online gallery called StateoftheARTGallery.com.au is catering to Australian art lovers who would love to buy original art but cannot afford high-end gallery prices.

"At StateoftheART Gallery we believe that buying original art is harder than it needs to be. There is a large gap between how traditional galleries are marketing their artists and the reality of current shopping trends" says Victoria McGregor, the Melbourne based owner "and there is a large disparity between the number of brick-and-mortar galleries and young artists looking for representation."

Ms McGregor brings her unique experience of developing South Africa’s premier online gallery StateoftheART.co.za to StateoftheARTGallery.com.au. She holds a degree in Computer Science from Cape Town University, and moved to Australia in 2012.  The site's strongest USP is not it's curation by a panel of six art professionals - something traditional galleries know all about. StateoftheART Gallery aims to democratize the entire art buying process by connecting artists and art collectors in Australia via its curated online marketplace.
