Sales Account Manager joins Ziff Davis to manage new tech title plus two staff promotions

Ziff Davis Australia, publisher of the country’s leading men’s websites IGN and AskMen, is preparing for the local edition launch of Ziff Davis’ flagship tech title PCMag.com with a new hire and two promotions.

Having brought sales responsibilities in-house on July 1st 2013, Ziff Davis Australia has enjoyed a successful eight months in the video games and men's lifestyle categories. On the back of this strong start, Ziff Davis Australia welcomes Evan Tsaprounis as Sales Account Manager - Tech to take on the responsibilities for the AU edition of PCMag.com. Evan joins Ziff Davis from Mediacom where he was Digital Assistant, Implementation and Planning. Evan has worked with clients such as Electronic Arts and Dell, making him perfectly positioned to take on the responsibilities for PCMag.

Evan joins Ziff Davis Australia at an exciting time for the media group as preparations are made for the launch of a well-recognised global tech player into the local market. Having successfully made the transition from a 100% print publication to a 100% digital business in just over four years, PCMag is well equipped to build upon the 241,000 UAs from Australia in February 2014 (Nielsen online ratings).

In addition to Evan joining the team, Ziff Davis Australia has promoted Beau Ushay to the role of Commercial Projects & Marketing Manager as his role expands in the growing business. James Vongdara, Ad Operations Manager will also take on an increased role as he is joined by a yet to be appointed Campaign Manager to fulfil Ziff Davis’ increased Ad Operations responsibilities.

James Whitehead, General Manager, Ziff Davis Australia, said:

“We are experiencing amazing results with our marquee brands IGN and AskMen since launching Ziff Davis Australia, so timing is right to bring another world renowned publication to market. The promotions of Beau and James coupled with the appointment of Evan strengthen us as a leading digital media publisher in Australia, with commanding positions in the Technology, Games Entertainment & Men’s Lifestyle categories.”

Geoff Inns, Global Managing Director added:

“The team in Australia have been going from strength to strength since setting up the local operation last year. We have big plans for PCMag and the other ZD titles in all the territories we operate around the world, no doubt with our new hires we will be very well served.”
