MSS Security introduces Maybo® training to their academy

Announcement posted by MSS Security 02 Apr 2014

Leading training organisation, Maybo®, based in Australia and the UK, offers a highly acclaimed licensed physical interventions programme to help security staff to better manage the safety of people at events, venues and hospital environments.

It advocates a system of risk identification through the introduction of primary and secondary response intervention and mitigation which is widely used by world leading industry-leading security companies.

National Training Manager, Margaret Stinson says Maybo® has become vital to the way MSS Security staff work.

Maybo’s inclusion into the Academy ensures all employees working in high risk areas receive best practice physical intervention training. MSS Security employees learn skills and techniques that have been proven to be effective in influencing a safer, more positive outcome in difficult situations.

It’s been particularly relevant in the healthcare security sector, allowing MSS Security professionals to adopt new physical intervention techniques when working in hospitals and other healthcare institutions. Maybo physical skills are non aggressive, non-pain related, do not lead to pain and have been independently medically tested for injury potential.

This in turn has led to greater prevention of physical and psychological injury for MSS Security employees, their clients and clients’ service users.

Margaret Stinson says the benefits are numerous – spanning less lost time due to injury for healthcare professionals through to a lower incident rate in patient minding programs.

The training has also increased awareness of how to more safely manage service users who may be vulnerable or unwell, due to diminished capacity.
