Credit Union SA seminars to help first home buyers achieve their dream

Announcement posted by Leverage PR 10 Apr 2014

Dozens of first home buyers are expected to take advantage of Credit Union SA’s free information seminars and learn from mortgage and financial experts about how to get a foothold on the property ladder.

Credit Union SA CEO, Grant Strawbridge said the First Home Buyer seminars introduced in 2013 had proved so popular that when coupled with growing demand, had prompted the launch of a follow up series of seminars for 2014.

“When we first introduced our home buyer seminars last year we found plenty of people who were actually putting off a property purchase because they saw it as an overwhelming process and didn’t know how to best prepare,” Mr Strawbridge said.

“People want to be informed and in control, understand the pitfalls to avoid, and be able to achieve their home ownership dreams in the improving local market,” he said.

“Our seminars cover all there is to know about the home buying process – from open inspections, how much deposit is required, family guarantee option, government grants, right through to settlement, and is an opportunity for someone to speak with an expert on their own terms, in their local area without obligation.”

The first home buyer information seminars will be held between 6pm and 7:30pm at:

  • Southgate Plaza Branch, Morphett Vale on Tuesday 6 May

  • Golden Grove Branch, Golden Grove Village Shopping Centre on Thursday 8 May

  • Port Lincoln High School on Tuesday 20 May

  • Credit Union SA Head Office, Adelaide on Tuesday 27 May
