Created by ecogroup, Australia’s leading supplier of products that reduce waste within the construction industry, Ecobriquettes are made from 100% recycled timber that has been salvaged from Australian demolition sites. The timber is shred into woodchip and compressed under high pressure to create renewable energy ecobriquettes., making them a unique alternative to using coal and kindling. They leave little ash, burn for up to 45 minutes each, contain no additives or accelerants, are suitable for a variety of heating systems and – best of all – are a renewable energy source that doesn’t compromise on the look, smell and warmth that a timber fire provides.
A pack of 12 ecobriquettes weighs about 10kgs, so they’re easy to stack, store and transport. Customers use them in pot belly stoves, heaters, open fires or chimineas. They take them camping or to their holiday home where they can curl up on a rug, with a glass of red wine, in front of a roaring fire.
“The ecobriquette is a perfect example of our philosophy at ecogroup,” says the company’s General Manager, Toby Sail, “to recycle by-products of demolition and minimise waste that would otherwise end up as landfill – customers love them!”
Ecobriquettes are stocked in independent and major retailers throughout Victoria including MITRE 10, Home Timber and Hardware, BP Service Stations, Foodworks and IGA.
