Announcement posted by Sports Camps Australia 30 May 2014

Brisbane Roar player Emily Gielnik has announced that she will join Sports Camps Australia's Brisbane Soccer Camps in July.

National Womens League Champion mentors future stars at SCA Junior and Youth Soccer camps in Brisbane

Gielnik, who also represents Australia as part of the National Womens Team, The Matildas, is a powerful Striker with the Brisbane Roar.

When asked why she is joining the team at Sports Camps Australia, Gielnik replied that she has joined the US backed Sports Camps operator for two main reasons. "After playing Professional Football (Soccer) in England, Canada and Australia, I want to share my experiences with the next generation of talented juniors and help them understand what it takes to play at the highest level. I also hope to encourage more girls to take up the sport in Qld".

Participation rates for women's Football in Australia are surprisingly low, with only 11% of all participants in the sport being women, and Emily hopes that her involvement in the Sports Camps will attract more girls to the sport. "Football (Soccer) has been so good to me, allowing me to travel the world doing what I love, and now I want to share those experiences with the next generation and inspire them to do the same."

Gielnik joins Youth Conditioning Specialist David Lawrence Vella and his team of top coaches including Scot Graham Fyfe, Brazilian Juliano Schmeling and Englishman Nick Dibbs, James Donnelly and Adam Chandler for the July camps. "I am excited about the talented group of coaches that I have been able to bring together. All of the coaches are currently playing or coaching in the National Premier Leagues and the vast knowledge and experiences they have gained from playing and coaching all over the world will mean that our camp participants will see Football (Soccer) from so many different points of view, fast tracking their development and enhancing their enjoyment of 'The Beautiful Game."

Enrolments for the July Soccer and Multisport Camps are now open to both beginners and advanced players up to the age of 16. If you would like to get involved, visit sportscampsaustralia.com.au or call 1800-753-127.
