South Melbourne Football Club invites the school children of Melbourne to come and play football with them this July school holidays!

Founded in 1959, the South Melbourne Football Club is one of Melbourne’s, and Australia’s oldest and most established football clubs. Although the club competes at the highest level in Australian football, it still has a very heavy focus on juniors and youth football programs.

 

For the first time, South Melbourne F.C will partner with Australia’s newest sports camps providers, Sports Camps Australia, to provide the school children of Melbourne the opportunity to come and train with the best and be a part of the South Melbourne F.C ethos.

There are two camps to choose from. One to be held at Alphington Grammar School and the second at Albert Park. The camps run for 3 full days from 9.00am till 3.00pm from the 30th June – 2nd July.  Providing the ultimate football experience for any young players, the camps are for players of any ability between the ages of 8 - 12 years old.  Players will be grouped and coached according to age and talent and all sessions will provide a fun, fast-paced and active experience for young soccer enthusiasts to come and play, learn and improve!

A coaching staff of experienced and accredited coaches' work alongside Camp Director Matthew Borowicz providing a structured and fun soccer development program.

 

The camp follows the vision of the South Melbourne Football Club youth development, aiming to provide a learning and fun environment for all those who come to play whatever their talent and skill level.

 

Sports Camps Australia has joined with the South Melbourne F.C. to help promote and give administrative support where needed, so the coaches can do what they do best, coach!
