Marketing Opportunity for SMEs Through Financial Data

Xero, the global leader in cloud accounting software, has today announced the launch of Smart Lists, a new search function that enables users to search and export customer and vendor contacts for marketing purposes.
 
This release is the first in a series of features that will unlock customer data and drive additional business value. Businesses can use Smart Lists to create powerful targeted lists based on a variety of filters such as customers’ past purchase behaviour, geographic location and payment patterns, including outstanding payments.
 
Xero Australia Managing Director Chris Ridd explained: “A curated list of responsive, engaged customers is one of the most powerful marketing assets a small business can have.
 
Using the functionality in Smart Lists doesn’t take much effort, but can have a major impact on a small business’s overall marketing results.”
 
The new offering for Xero customers gives users the flexibility to export these lists to a marketing platform like Constant Contact* for email marketing or as a CSV file. Users can quickly access useful lists by saving search criteria to filter data, or saving  search results to refer back to static lists.
 
In addition to the ongoing development of Xero’s core accounting features, Xero is focused on releasing additional business features within the software. Smart Lists is the first in a series of new features by Xero, which are able to unlock customer data and drive additional business value.
 
Additional features
Today, Xero has also released support for four decimal places on unit price; updates to the Xero login screen, which now includes education video content; and default account code and tracking for Contacts.
