Mobile App Company Organizes Grand Iftar Party Bash

Announcement posted by Teknowledge software 12 Jul 2014

Teknowledge Software sparked off a great start to the weekend, by hosting a grand Iftar party on Friday. A series of other fun programs was scheduled throughout the day at the office as well.

Yesterday was more exciting than any other Friday, for the mobile app developers and designers at the Indian office of Teknowledge Software. In celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, the senior authorities organized a grand Iftar party at office. It was indeed a great start to the weekend for everyone at Teks!

After slogging it out for the last five days, regular work took a backseat at the mobile apps company this Friday. The celebrations started from the morning itself, with interactive digital storytelling session for pre-school children. Invitations had been sent out by email to parents across the state - and the turnout was more than impressive. The video presentation of the Story Time For Kids was welcomed with squeals of delight from the toddlers present. The recently-arrived lot of paperback storybooks from Story Time publications was also showcased. Every child was given a free book as a gift. All that they had to do is choose the book they liked the most!

Once the kids’ session was over, it was time for some knowledge and inspiration-sharing among the mobile app development experts at Teknowledge. One of the top-level employees recently had his seventh work anniversary at Teks - and he shared, along with the company CEO, nostalgic details about the early days. The very first mobile application created by Teknowledge - Qualicell - was presented too. The company has recruited several new Android and iOS app developers and testers in the last six months, and they listened in awe at the sheer dedication put in to raise Teks from a localized company to a flourishing, multinational business. Other long-serving employees were also invited to the podium, to address and motivate the newbies.

Next up, it was photo-session time on the Teks floor. Everyone dressed up in traditional attire and got themselves clicked. Not infrequently, many of the employees asked for a couple of extra shots - so that they could strike a better pose. It was fun watching the seniors freely mingling with the juniors during this round of clicking. In essence, it was a photo-session and an ice-breaking session rolled into one.

Amidst the festivities, it was nice to see that the Android/iPhone apps company had not forgotten about its clients across the world. The senior officials organized video hangouts with a large number of clients Australia, United Kingdom and the United States - and sent across season’s greetings and warm wishes. Iftar wishes were exchanged with the Indian clients. For those who could not be accessed on the day, the CEO of Teknowledge conveyed his greetings via email. According to him, the support of customers and partners has been instrumental in the sustained success of the company.

A round of corporate games was included in the list of activities for the day next. From passing-the-ball and brain-teasers, to dumb charades and guessing games - each of the activities found enthusiastic participation from all employees and other guests. The iPhone app development team participated in a fun app-brainstorming and coding competition. There were two joint winners - and although no prizes were on offer, this subtle test of technical expertise found favor among the developers.

As evening descended, the Iftar party started in its full flow. There was a bit of laughter-filled commotion around, as everyone tried to chip in with menu suggestions. After detailed discussions (and just a bit of argument!), the final list of food to be served was decided upon. Everyone heaped on their plates and had their fill. There was separate arrangements for the vegetarians. Press personnel who had come down were specially taken care of. Seasonal festivities are common at Teknowledge, and most app developers of the company agreed that this was the best Iftar party organized at the company, in its 8-year history.

Wrapping up the celebrations, the CEO and senior administrative officials of Teknowledge once again thanked all attendees for making the day special. It would be back to work for the company from Monday, and this was a refreshing break from the day-to-day routine.
