BCS named Strata Management Business of the Year 2014

BCS Strata Management has won the industry’s most prestigious award for the first time.

The market leader, which provides professional strata and community title management services to more than 10,000 buildings and manages more than 190,000 lots, won the Strata Management Business of the Year on Friday.

Group Chief Executive Officer Greg Haywood said BCS Strata Management’s focus on education and technology had set it apart from the competition.

“In an industry first, we developed and implemented a Diploma of Management (Strata) in an effort to raise the bar for education in the strata sector,” Mr Haywood said.

“In addition to encouraging our staff to undertake education and training, we also encourage our competitors to enrol in the course.”

Mr Haywood said the award was a result of improved customer service, staff engagement and the use of new technology to streamline and deliver better services.

“We also survey our customers and staff to ensure the improvements we make are hitting the right notes,” he said.

Mr Haywood said it was the third time BCS Strata Management had been nominated for the industry’s top award and reflected the company’s aim of exceeding customers’ expectations.

“We want to be a trusted advisor in the strata industry and enhance community living. We want to be known for having the best trained staff, with outstanding industry knowledge, and a company people want to work for,” Mr Haywood said.

In addition to being named the Strata Management Business of the Year Award, BCS Strata Management was runner-up in the Professional Commitment to Ethics and Service category.

Up and coming company BCS star, Sarah Macaulay, was also highly commended by the judges in the Young Strata Managers Award category.

The annual awards are hosted by Strata Community Australia (SCA NSW) and celebrate the best in the strata community in NSW.
