Spacepark Aims to Solve Parking Problems amidst Rapid Population Growth

Announcement posted by Spacepark 09 Sep 2014

Australia's parking problems are increasing because of rapid population growth and Spacepark Global has the solution for it.

Sydney, Australia (PR Web) 04 August 2014 – Urban car parking within inner city and surrounding suburbs has become increasingly scarce across all the Australian capital cities.

As urban infill sees higher density developments bringing more residents into suburban areas, the space available for car parking dwindles. Apartment blocks designed to house multiple families are being constructed in locations where previously only one or two homes stood.

As a result, the amount of car parking in locations such as these becomes restricted. Likewise, many council areas across the country have begun to restrict the number of cars able to park in the street in front of homes, making it more difficult to find adequate parking in many locations.

A prime example of restrictive parking arrangements can be found in Burnside Council, in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide. Residents are required to apply for parking permits before they’re able to park on the street out front of their own homes.

Higher density residential developments may be ideal for allowing more people to live closer to cities and essential services. Yet the lack of car parking space available leads to new challenges for home owners, residents, and developers alike.

In an effort to provide real solutions for car parking problems, the expert team at Spacepark can design a custom car stacking system that can increase onsite car parking availability. A car stacker can enable two or more cars to park in a space that previously held a single vehicle.

Spacepark also specialises in the design and manufacture of the vehicle turntable, which can be installed in a driveway or within a garage to make parking in tight driveways or difficult locations much easier. A vehicle turntable can also improve safety, allowing residents to park more securely on a steep incline, or to turn the car around before leaving the driveway so as to drive directly out into traffic rather than trying to back out during peak hour.

Installing a vehicle turntable and a car stacking system could be the ideal solution for solving parking problems within many areas around Australia.
