QUALITY INTERACTIVE BABY AND TODDLER MUSIC PROGRAM - MELBOURNE ~ SINGAPORE ~ PENANG
Research conducted at McMaster University and recently published in the scientific journals Developmental Science and Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences has found interactive music classes for babies under 12 months to be developmentally beneficial.
The research found that babies under 12 months participating in interactive music classes had enhanced early communication skills such as pointing, waving and smiling and were socially easier to comfort, reason with and more confident than babies that were not exposed to music in an interactive way.
Baby Love Music Fun is a quality interactive music program that provides this type of musical instruction for babies, toddlers and preschoolers and the great news is the Melbourne developed program is coming west-side.
The award winning program created in 2007 places a strong emphasis on parents and carers engaging with their child by combining development enriching milestone based activities with music, movement and live singing. The musical activities aim to stimulate advancement across the four key areas of gross motor, fine motor and vision, social and speech, language and hearing and are aligned to milestone checklists of the Victorian Government Best Start early years initiative.
The program is also committed to presenting quality first musical experiences for children by using professional singers as teachers.
Teachers are professional opera singers so classes offer a wonderful live experience of singing with a fantastic touch of theatrical flair.
Program Founding Director, Melanie Maslin has found anecdotally that babies, toddlers and children respond particularly well to live professional quality singing in the classes and that the ability to teach and hold their attention is increased through this medium.
