Customer service is part of the package

Announcement posted by Intersystems Group 02 Oct 2014

A request to change the delivery timeframe from Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport (WBT) for the delivery of various components within their system wasn't part of the project plan.

Instead of pushing back the team saw it as a great opportunity to demonstrate why our customers rate our customer service so highly. With a project delivery plan outlining an October onsite installation we were well on track easily meeting project milestones. However, in early September, Wellcamp Airport requested that we deliver components of the system in time for their Airport Community Open Day to be held on the 28th of September.

Rather than note all the reasons it wasn't going to happen, the team knuckled down and pulled out all the stops to see the components required deployed to site with the final hardware being delivered in person by the Services Manager and CEO on Friday, 26th of September as all Services Engineers were already engaged with other customer commitments.

"All-in-all, it's a testament to what can be achieved when we set our minds to it and whilst there is still a good deal of work to do on the Wellcamp Airport project, the team have firmly demonstrated their commitment to customer service and I'm proud of them," commented Bruce Allen, CEO of Intersystems.

The Wellcamp Airport Community Day saw 27,304 Queenslanders visit Wellcamp Airport. Flight Information Display Screens (FIDS) throughout the terminal were up and running featuring a demo version of the Qantas flight schedule and live advertising content featuring flight specials for the upcoming Qantas services.

In mid-2014 Intersystems secured the contract to deliver rapidsuite to Wellcamp Airport which included both its powerful Flight Information Display System and capable Airport Advertising and Content Management System. The project is still on schedule for an October delivery of full system capabilities.
