Partners Wealth Group expands its WA footprint

Announcement posted by Parker Public Relations Melbourne 14 Oct 2014

One of Australia’s leading mid-tier financial service providers, Partners Wealth Group (PWG), has expanded into south-west WA, partnering with award winning, Mandurah-based practice, Merideon Wealth Strategies.

With offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, this is the Melbourne head-quartered group’s sixth joint venture in Australia.

Opened two years ago, the group’s Perth office has already quadrupled in size and looks to continue this growth trajectory over the next five years.

PWG’s newest acquisition also brings with it considerable growth prospects.

Says director of PWG’s financial planning arm, Matthew Cassidy: “Given that the south-west is a prime location for retirees from Perth looking for a cooler climate and slower pace of life, this represents a wonderful opportunity for retirement advice.

“While Merideon is already doing a fabulous job with financial advice and is one of Mandurah’s highest performing financial planning teams, it does not provide the full suite of financial offerings. It is these services that are particularly important to retirees, who from our experience, prefer having all their retirement requirements – such as planning advice, estate planning, succession planning and aged care advice – handled from the one location.”

Commenting on the newly cemented partnership, Merideon business founder and general manager, Mark Rattigan, says it will fast-track his business’s long-held ambition to become south-west WA’s leading financial planning business.

“As a smaller practice, our growth has been stymied by a limited range of skills and resources. Being part of the Partners’ Wealth Group has shifted the goal posts, while at the same time providing our clients with access to a more complete offering, greater investment management capability and access to specialists from the all areas of the advice spectrum.”

Although part of the PWG stable of companies, Merideon Wealth Strategies will continue to operate under its existing name.

Mr Cassidy says while little will change on a day to day basis, behind the scenes PWG staff members will assist Merideon to implement new systems and processes and strengthen lead-generation opportunities with accountants in the area.

Plans are also underway to ramp up Merideon’s team of financial advisors.
