UAE’s Ajman Free Zone to be Launched to Australian Investors
No taxes, cheap energy, low labour costs and zero tariffs - these are among the benefits of setting up operations in the UAE’s Ajman Free Zone which will be showcased to Australian businesses and investors for the first time at exclusive summits in Melbourne and Sydney this week.
 
The summits at the Sofitel in Melbourne on October 21, and the Park Hyatt Sydney on October 23, will aim to attract Australian businesses to the United Arab Emirates’ Ajman Free Zone.
 
Established in 1988, Ajman Free Zone is a free trade zone in Ajman, one of seven emirates in the United Arab Emirates, and is located on the Arabian Peninsula and in the Persian Gulf.
 
The zone already services over 10,000 international companies, with about 100 new companies from across the globe setting up in the precinct every week as the advantages of running a business in the Ajman Free Zone become known.
 
Among the offerings enticing businesses to the Ajman Free Zone are cheap energy, an economical wage structure, no import and export duties, no service charges, low lease prices, world class infrastructure and low tariffs as well as state of the art international shipping and port facilities.
 
The summits will be presented by the Ajman Free Zone senior team, including Deputy General Manager Mr. Nader Eldesouky and Sales and Marketing Director Rishi Somaiya.
 
Ajman Free Zone General Manager His Excellency, Mahmood Al Hashemi said the Melbourne and Sydney events will focus on three distinct business set-up services; smart warehousing, e-commerce licensing and off-shore investments.
 
Mr Mahmood Al Hashemi said: “The Ajman Free Zone is organising a series of international investment summits in our key markets, and this will be our first Australian summit.”
 
Mr. Nader Eldesouky said about 100 Australian companies were already established in the Ajman Free Zone.
 
"Ajman Free Zone is bringing several companies from Australia to the Middle East. We have approximately 100 companies from Australia established with us.”

“These new business services have received tremendous positive response from global investors seeking a safe investment and business destination,” Mr Al Hashemi said.
