New Customers, New People, New Logo, New Partners

Announcement posted by Mercator Software 19 Jun 2002

Mercator Software, leading provider of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solutions, has appointed Mathew McDougall as Senior Business Development Manager in Australia and New Zealand.

The appointment comes as Mercator Software reported growth in its regional client base in the first half of 2002 with new customer projects going live for HSBC, AMP Cogent, MLC, Sony, ChrimsonLogic and CMG First State.

Nathan Bray, General Manager, Mercator Software said these results were indicative of a local trend toward customers focusing more heavily on the delivery of business value and cost savings that Mercator solutions provide.

"We have seen strong local interest and business activity in the first half of the year, we've signed new customers, announced a new partnership with BEA and KPMG, and have moved to appoint the right people and skills to make the most of any new opportunities," Mr Bray said. "Mathew's major focus will be direct sales and selected partners in the health, manufacturing, retail and distribution verticals."

"The high levels of activity in the local market are reflected in the enormous interest in our recently introduced Mercator Web Services and Mercator Process Integrator solutions. We have kindly left them in Mathew's new 'extra strength' in-tray - stamped urgent."

Mr McDougall was previously with Tibco, as a Global Director, where he established and managed Customer Care and Education for North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

He was also Vice President at Brience Inc. (a wireless integration company grown out of KPMG Management) in North America. Mr McDougall holds a Masters from Westminster University in London and is currently completing his PHD at Queensland University of Technology.
