StartInno Announces Launch of Coworking Space & Participation in  Global Entrepreneurs Week

The Byron Bay innovative startup incubator and accelerator StartInno are gathering a huge amount of momentum.  The company recently announced the launch of their business co-sharing workspace, as well as their successful participation in Global Entrepreneurs Week, with 5 startups joining their Accelerator program.  The reaction to both of these events has been remarkable.

Taking a business to the next level requires many components to be in place, certainly, and some of the most important pieces of this kind of puzzle, many entrepreneurs would agree, are having vision, experience and connections.  In Australia, allowing anyone with valid ideas to tap into these kinds of resources has become much more easy, thanks to the growing community of support services like StartInno.  The company has recently moved from success to success, with the recent announcement that their coworking space located at Byron Bay, Australia has opened its doors to clients, and that the company has also just finished their participation in the very exciting Global Entrepreneurs Week.

“As part of Global Entrepreneurs Week, we’ve participated in Gold Coast Demo Day at the Bond University Accelerator with friends Silicon Lakes, along with mentoring as part of the Global Startup Weekend” commented Dan Swan, CEO & Founder of StartInno.  “The Demo Day was a terrific inaugural event with more than 10 new businesses ideas presenting to their friends, families and investors.” As one of 200 cities competing for bragging rights, Startup Weekend was a global event powered by Google for Entrepreneurs that brings designers, developers and interdisciplinary experts together to do amazing things. Swan added “having the chance to mentor at the Startup Weekend Global battle was intense and seeing ideas develop over 52 hours into real demos and pitches really exciting”.

“We were then off to Sydney for the launch of the UTS ‘pre-incubator’ for students, with none-other than Steve Wozniak as an adjunct professor. The Hatchery was announced as part of Intersection, Sydney’s ‘Digital Creative Hub’ initiative and  next year StartInno is planning to work with the UTS Business School next door”. StartInno’s Byron Bay coworking space and café was inspired by initiatives like Intersection and has been developing its programs and events with Byron Bay’s SAE Institute to “connect creative media skills and provide pathways for students to #juststart.”. Completely functional and affordably priced, the space includes access to high-speed internet, printing and office facilities, really everything needed to help a startup grow minus the high rent and other expenses that would ordinarily come from moving into a full office prematurely.

5 businesses have already joined StartInno's Accelerator program during Global Entrepreneurs Week, and the company is very excited about having the chance to work with them and help the startups “growth hack” their way to greater success.  Each business shares the fact that they are offering an existing product and looking for the extra ‘something’ to break through their sticking point, that StartInno is hoping to help provide.  They include:  “Designista”, an interior design app, which provides a powerful and unique new way to design stunning interiors;  ‘Guided’, a web and mobile app for daily mindfulness and positive thought based on proven meditation practices; ‘Player Development Project’, an app and tablet magazine that helps players rediscover their soccer creativity and track progress; ‘Sharing Stories’, an inspirational not-for-profit that enables digital story telling for Indigenous Cultures; and ‘Wave Blade’, a new sports therapy product aimed at challenging the status quo in sports and recreation rehabilitation and performance.

StartInno also has big plans and more events set for next year.  Immediate highlights include a recent interview with the company being published in the prestigious Northern Rivers Business Magazine sometime in December and establishing with the networking group #StartupByron aimed at connecting the local community with the broader ecosystem.
