Creative agency nucleo, today announced the publication of The Beak; a children’s illustrated book written by celebrated author and philanthropist Miss C.C Chickpea, in partnership with students of Martin’s Gully Public School in Armidale, NSW.
The Beak offers a range of encouraging messages for children through a combination of charming dialogue and lovable illustrations, teaching the audience to follow their dreams.
The prize-winning author resides in northern NSW's New England region where she writes hard-hitting journalism on a range of topics. Miss Chickpea is also an occasional co-pilot for Little Wings, the not-for-profit organisation where she is sending 10% of all profits to, in support of their free-flight service.
Little Wings brings terminally-ill children in rural and regional NSW to the specialised oncology services available at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Amber Leitner, Miss Chickpea’s eleven year old publicist believes in Miss Chickpea’s determination to make a difference in the human realm, after already conquering the avian world.

The Beak is the first collaboration between Miss Chickpea and nucleo, the Armidale-based creative agency.
“We’ve had a terrific time collaborating with C.C Chickpea in creating The Beak” says nucleo’s Josh Billing.
“Chickpea is a real character, and Amber has been a joy to work with. Even at eleven, she really understands the industry”, Billing said.
