HTC Desire Eye is the latest high-end addition to HTC’s phablet range, coming a with a sleek 8.5mm thin construction alongside IPX7 certification that provides a complete protection against water and dust. It features a large 5.2 inches capacitive touchscreen supporting 1920 x 1080p resolution, 16M colours and a 424ppi pixel density.
In regards to internal specs, the handset is powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz processor together with 2GB RAM installed on Snapdragon 801 SoC for a quick and lag-free operability. The Android OS v4.4.2 (KitKat) comes preinstalled on its 16GB internal ROM that can be increased up to a whopping 128GB via microSD card slot.
The new device sports an impressive 13MP rear and front cameras with the features including autofocus, dual LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, panorama and HDR. Other major features to note are - 4G LTE network support, Wi-Fi connectivity, Adreno 330 GPU, NFC, Bluetooth v4.0, HTML5 browser, microUSB v2.0 interface, Wi-Fi Direct/hotspot, DLNA, GPS/GLONASS, FM radio with RDS and a non-removable 2400 Li-Po battery.
