Australian MuleSoft Partner Kicks Goals in 2014

Announcement posted by Sphere Public Relations 02 Dec 2014

WhiteSky Labs Transformed the Business, Won New Global Customers, Expanded its Team & Opened New Offices

Dedicated global MuleSoft Premier Partner and enterprise integration specialist, WhiteSky Labs is delighted to announce that it has successfully completed the transformation from a general IT services business to a niche MuleSoft Anypoint platform provider. The process took six months to complete during the first half of 2014, with the expert guidance of MuleSoft and the company’s private investment firm, Exto Partners, which has backed WhiteSky Labs since its inception.

Since changing its focus, WhiteSky Labs has won new global customers including Sumitomo Corporation Asia and Oceania, a global healthcare company based in Singapore, a global medical supplies company based in Denmark and multiple new Australian customers, for whom the company is implementing integration strategies and solutions utilising the MuleSoft platform.

As a result of increased demand from these new global customers and MuleSoft itself, WhiteSky Labs opened a Development Centre in Manila in the Philippines in May 2014.

“Having a Manila development team ensures that WhiteSky Labs can work on integration projects on a truly international basis for organisations that have technical teams working round the clock too,” said Steve Wilson, CEO, WhiteSky Labs.

This complements WhiteSky Labs’ existing Development Lab in Hyderabad in India, which opened in 2009, when the company was a start-up.

The firm’s global headquarters are in Sydney and the growing team is due to move to larger offices on King Street in early February to cope with its expansion.

“We’ve made a significant investment in building a world-class leadership team in the past few months and WhiteSky Labs is now 50 per cent bigger than this time last year, hence the decision to move,” continued Steve Wilson.

Over the last month, the company recruited a number of new executives with significant industry experience in the enterprise integration space. Peter Klement has joined as the Chief Operating Officer having served in executive management positions for Capgemini, Software AG and SAP. He will be responsible for overseeing WhiteSky Labs’ global operations and customer delivery. Peter also serves as the head of the Australian MIT Alumni Association having completed an MBA at MIT.

Greg Taylor has also been appointed to WhiteSky Labs’ Board of Directors. Greg comes to WhiteSky Labs with more than 15 years of expertise in middleware, cloud and enterprise software integration experience, including his previous roles as VP and Country Manager at Software AG and VP of Fusion Middleware Australia and New Zealand at Oracle Corporation.

Gary Burch joins on 2 December as Marketing Director from Caltex, where he was the B2B Marketing Manager and previously was at AOL in New York where he led a team providing leads through online channels to support over 100 sales staff.

David Collins has also joined as the VP of Sales for ANZ beginning 5 January and was previously Sales Manager and Practice Head at Manhatten Associates and Sales Director Consumer Business at QlikTech International and Partner and Alliances Sales Director at QlikTech ANZ.

“We’ve achieved great things in 2014 in terms of transforming the WhiteSky Labs business, winning new global clients and significant growth in what is a very dynamic market. We are excited about further growth and customer success in 2015 and now have a world class leadership team in place to execute,” concluded Steve Wilson.
