Guests got to play with Authasas, a mobile logical access control solution. It utilises the smartphones data channel to deliver ultra-secure push authentication information to the user, to ensure a secure login.

Speaking at the event was Argus’s Group Director of Sales and Marketing Damien Davis;

“Biometric devices and the ever increasing number and type of software applications being developed to deliver on their promise present to Government and NGO’s significant opportunity to address risk and enhance services. Adoption is fast reaching the point of crossing Everet’s technology chasm! This is the time of greatest risks for Government and Non-Government alike. With over 100 differing technologies, manufacturers and algorithm developers, how does one develop appropriate frameworks and criteria for considered decisions? It is in these times vendors will attempt to provide what are in fact highly specialised services. Organisations need to think first about developing appropriate frameworks for vetting their prospective vendors well before considering any offerings or advice. It’s an exciting time for all of us. We will see Biometrics come to the forefront of everyday living and trade in the not too distant future.”
