Do Something Out of the Ordinary this Valentines Day with Laneway Learning

For immediate release

Laneway Learning is running a special series of romance-related classes in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Singapore in the run up to Valentines Day, giving you the opportunity to do learn something new with the one you love.

You could come as a couple and learn how to fake it on the dance floor, or surprise your partner by learning how to make chocolates, bath bombs, perfumes or killer Valentines cards. Alternatively, you could forget about other people and learn how to write a love letter to the most important person in your life - yourself.

All classes are held in the evenings and in unexpected, hidden venues. You can learn the art of romance in a cosy café, hidden within the depths of Melbourne’s laneways; sniff fragrant oils while surrounded by books at the library in Sydney; cut and paste handmade cards at a coffee roaster in Brisbane; or temper chocolate in a furniture showroom-cum-café in the heart of Singapore. Classes run during the evenings from Monday 9th to Thursday 12th February, and prices start at $14AUD or $20SGD.

Mark Gregory, co-founder of Laneway Learning says ‘Valentines Day is the perfect excuse for romance, but flowers don’t cut it anymore. Learning and doing something together is a fun way to bond, and giving someone a handmade gift means so much more than grabbing a dusty box of chocolates on your way home’.

NOTES TO EDITOR:
About Laneway Learning
Laneway Learning is the name for a ragtag series of evening classes that first started in Melbourne in March 2012, and has since spread to Sydney, Brisbane and Singapore. Classes are super cheap, super informal and are taught by ordinary people from the local community; florists teach about flowers, scientists about science and bookworms about books. Classes are held in unexpected spaces that would otherwise be unused, like cafés, bars, libraries and furniture stores.
