How to Get Organised for the Year Ahead

2015 is here and it’s time to get set for all the New Year has to offer. To ensure you are organised and perfectly equipped to achieve your goals for your work life, there are several steps you should take before the tasks starts piling up.

1. Clean up your workspace

You can’t expect to get much done if your office or workspace looks like a cyclone has passed through it! If your desk is a nightmare, finding paperwork you need is a lengthier task and it’s just generally more unpleasant to do your work there.

Before you get stuck into your work this year, do a massive clean-up of your desk. Throw away old documents, get rid of any rubbish lying around, invest in some storage for your office necessities – do anything you need to get your desk looking clear and clean. On many occasions, less is more, so keep as little as possible on your desk.

2. Use a calendar

Calendars are a great way to keep track of important dates. Displaying them right next to your desk or somewhere you look at every day will ensure you never miss an important event or meeting.
