HUNDREDS GATHER TO JOIN BRISBANE BIKERS

Over 120 bikers on Harley Davidson’s will roar through the streets of Brisbane. Each year the Harley Owners Group (HOG) don their leathers and get ready to take a courageous passenger on an exhilarating ‘ride of their life’ all in support of families in Queensland living with muscular dystrophy.

Leathers on and wind in their hair, the bikers will take their passengers though the steep winding range roads towards Toowoomba. The boisterous convoy are raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy Queensland as part of the annual HOG Charity Ride.

Brisbane Harley Owners Group (HOG) spokesperson Carl Senner says: “It is a fantastic event that our club looks forward to immensely. Every year there are so many of our club members keen to donate their bikes and their time for the day”.  Muscular Dystrophy Queensland’s CEO Helene Frayne commented on the ride “Previous participants in the ride have had the experience of a lifetime and enjoyed being able to help Queenslanders with muscular dystrophy, many of whom can’t jump on the back of a bike. Our charity relies on funds raised from events like this to provide services and support to our 500+ clients in Queensland. The HOG Charity Ride is a great way for us to help our clients have a greater quality of life, and for passengers and bikers to have a wild time.”

Tickets cost $140 for a full day, where passengers can enjoy the freedom of being a Harley biker for the day, and includes meals and a t-shirt.
