Freedom Driving Tasmania opens up roads

Announcement posted by Freedom Driving Tasmania 24 Mar 2015

Launch of Freedom Driving Tasmania
Freedom Driving Tasmania is set to open up roads to Australians who are seeking some of the world’s greatest drives with minimal traffic. Founders David Cuff and Rodney Rawlings today announced the launch of Freedom Driving Tasmania, which aims to pair car enthusiasts who are restricted by limited time, heavy traffic and a lack of interesting roads with an opportunity to drive their cars on premium challenging Tasmanian roads.

Met upon arrival at Launceston Airport, the customer’s own car is delivered to them fully prepared and once they have completed their Tasmanian driving experience they are met at departures before flying out. Freedom Driving Tasmania offers premium garage facilities for customer’s cars and motorcycles, providing car care, and local knowledge for a driving getaway in Tasmania. Trips can be organised to suit driver’s itinerary desires, timeframes, and special requirements.

CEO of Freedom Driving Tasmania David Cuff said: "Growing up as a car enthusiast in Tasmania I was blessed to be able to drive on some of the world’s greatest roads with minimal traffic – the perfect opportunity to really enjoy your car, and 30 years later little has changed.” Upon moving interstate to Melbourne David was fortunate to acquire his dream car, a Ferrari 355 Spyder. He soon found it problematic as he was spending hours driving in congested traffic, and long boring drives to locate interesting roads that were also congested. David’s situation and Freedom Driving Tasmania believe that car enthusiasts should be able enjoy their cars in an open environment.

Tasmania is still waiting to be discovered, with its blend of unique coastal drives coupled with food trails, art museums, heritage estates and waterways. David believes Freedom Driving Tasmania can provide a focal difference, “We have local connections and a great depth of knowledge of Tasmania’s most breathtaking and unique driving routes and must-see destinations,” David said.

Garage facilities costs are based on one car per client, starting at $600 plus GST per car and $300 plus GST per motorcycle for a minimum of calendar month. Freedom Driving Tasmania also offers a car relocation program and many concierge services.

David Cuff grew up in Tasmania as a passionate car enthusiast. He was previously a director and instructor for John Bowe Driving for over 18 years where he coached like minded people in improving their driving skills.

Rodney Rawlings is a Tasmanian who has competed in Targa Tasmania and is an owner of a classic Australian Bolwell sports car. His local knowledge, passion for cars, love of golf, wine and fine food is beneficial for the delivery of a wonderful Tasmanian experience.
