Lugh Damen's latest album "Cry for my Country"
Lugh is a gifted singer/song-writer and multi-instrumentalist who seamlessly brings together a wide range of styles to create his own unique sound. His penetrating lyrics and haunting melodies combine now to pay tribute to Australia's greatest heroes, the ANZACs.
“Cry for my Country” will be available for digital download on Anzac Day.
The album features the songs "To My Fellow Man" and "Battlefield" as heard at Boorowa's ANZAC services for the last two years and one of Lugh's most recent masterpieces "The Cold Light Of Dawn", written especially to commemorate the centenary of the Gallipoli landing:

And they claimed our right to freedom, and they paid for it with blood
"Cry for my Country", delivers a stirring and thought-provoking collection of original songs written to honour those who have served and sacrificed from WWI to the present day. These beautifully crafted ballads engage the listener in a journey of raw emotion and wry humour with a timeless quality that will enthrall generations to come and help to keep alive the memories and the proud legacy of courage and selflessness that was laid down by a rag-tag bunch of uncouth colonial miss-fits a hundred years ago.
"Lugh Damen is launching his new album, "Cry for my Country", at The YAZZBAR at 81 Comur St, Yass, on Friday 24th April from 7:00pm onwards. The YAZZBAR is fully licensed and offers a fine selection of wines and exquisite gourmet cuisine. Entry is free but seats are limited. You must be 18 or over.
