Delectable desserts arrive in Sydney

20 April 2015: It’s Sydney’s turn for a truly indulgent high tea experience, with the opening of Passiontree Velvet’s Macquarie Centre store today.

A blend between an English tea house, a Parisian patisserie and a Belgian chocolatier, Passiontree Velvet’s chefs make every dessert, scone and sandwich by hand, in Sydney.

Sweet tooths are expected to flock to the store, which offers the latest European quality patisserie, desserts, scones and chocolates for instore and takeaway dining.

Following the success of three Queensland stores, one in Brisbane and two on the Gold Coast, co-founder Chris Sheldrick sought to bring Passiontree Velvet’s premium setting to the patisserie aficionados of Sydney.

Passiontree Velvet’s High Tea can be ordered with either a traditional English Devonshire Tea or Belgian Chocolate focus, as well as a Teddy Bear Picnic option for young diners. All High Tea selections offer ribbon sandwiches, delicious macaroons, freshly baked scones, rich cakes and Belgian chocolates.
