Little Rockers Radio, Australia’s 24/7 Online Radio Station for kids continues to grow

Announcement posted by Little Rockers Radio 03 Jun 2015

Kids Songs, Nursery Rhymes, Lullabies, Yoga and more!

Little Rockers Radio, a radio station just for kids from birth to 6, continues to grow! Launching in February 2014 listener sessions are reaching upwards of 40,000 per month, over 10,000 Apple App downloads and a strong 11,000+ Social Media following.

The online radio station has grown due to its pure content and dedicated focus on children. “Our music is carefully selected to ensure it is appropriate for little ears and we will not compromise on quality,” says Sarah Morrissey, Little Rockers Radio founder. “I am also very passionate about not filling the air time with ads that target parents and children in the way traditional radio does. Mums, Dads and Child Care Centres are switching us on as our programs are trusted and not interrupted frequently with advertising messages”

Since launch the station has added yoga programs for children, nightly short meditation and recently broadcast the National Simultaneous StoryTime, with permission from Author Aaron Blabey, Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and Penguin Books Australia.

“My passion lies in children’s health, both physical and mental, and through Little Rockers Radio I hope to help equip children with the right messages around physical activity and mental health so that the little ones listening can become big, healthy grown-ups!”

Little Rockers Radio has also partnered with SIDS & Kids and is looking forward to running this year’s first Little Rockers RED NOSE Disco.

A first of its kind, this fundraising event encourages Child Care Centres across the country to not only put on their dancing shoes, but their red noses as well and host their own disco event within their centre on Red Nose Day. The event will run from 10 – 11am AEST (or 2.30 – 3.30pm AEST) with Little Rockers Radio providing the child care centre with a fun filled hour of children’s dance music for little red nosed rockers to dance their hearts out in support of Red Nose Day.

Also running on Red Nose day is the inaugural Little Rockers RED NOSE 12-hour Disco. Held at Luna Park (8.30am – 8.30pm) the day will feature LIVE performances by Animals Rock (Including Shelley Craft from The Block & World Champion Surfer, Beau Young), The MikMaks, Hey Dee Ho and more!
