Made In Green by OEKO- TEX

Consumers are now demanding a higher level of transparency and traceability of the products they purchase. In response to this textile certification organization, Testex has recently launched OEKO-TEX®’s new Made in Green to the Australian market.

Made in Green is a traceable product label created exclusively for textiles. Any textile items carrying the label has been:

·      - Made with textiles that have been tested for harmful substances (certified with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100)

·      - Made in facilities that are environmentally friendly, (certified with STeP)

·      - And made in a safe and socially responsible work place (certified with STeP)

Available globally, the Made in Green product label uses leading technology, meaning products can now be easily traced offering consumers, as well as business partners, new levels of transparency.

The label features a product ID and QR code that allows consumers to trace the manufactures of the textile product. By entering the product ID on the www.madeingreen.com or scanning the QR code with a smart phone, the consumer will be able to review the various stages of production as well as see where the item was manufactured. Offering complete transparency and traceability.

To ensure integrity and authenticity are maintained the STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification (sustainably produced) and the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certified (made with material tested for harmful substances) are a prerequisite for attaining the Made in Green label.
