Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course in Melbourne is designed to increase the mental health literacy of the public, and to provide a basic foundation in mental health for people working in the community sector
In our Mental Health First Aid Training you will learn the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, where and how to get help, and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective. You will take away an evidence based tool to assist adults in these crisis situations:

• Depression
• Panic attacks
• Traumatic events
• Severe psychotic states
• Severe effects of alcohol and drugs
• Aggressive behaviour
• Substance abuse
• Suicidal thoughts and behaviours

This is a 12 hour course, which is delivered as a 2 day training package. A manual is provided to each participant attending the course, along with useful mental health resources.

When you complete the Mental Health First Aid course with us, you will be issued with a certificate which can be used towards your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) qualifications.
