Ajilon and WAPOL Take Gold for Third Consecutive Year

Mobile HQ App Makes Three at WAITTA awards

Perth 30 June 2015: Ajilon and WAPOL took home the top prize in the Government category at the 24th WAITTA INCITE Awards for the third consecutive year for their software app Mobile HQ that enables WA police officers to perform real time searches of people, vehicles and locations using hand-held devices.

Mobile HQ was developed to deliver dynamic and critical decision-making information to officers on duty, increasing both the time they spend in the community and their safety by allowing officers to stay with their partners while conducting on site searches through a secure mobile access to WA Police systems via their phones and tablets.

Kellie Properjohn, Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Region accepted the award on behalf of WA Police. She stated that, “There is nothing more important than officers having access to real time crucial information in the field to enable them to perform their job safely and provide a quality response to the community.  Mobile HQ is another tool for officers to assist them to do this.”

Managing Director at Ajilon, Ger Doyle added: “Congrats to WAPOL and our Mobility Solutions practice and Law Enforcement & Justice specialists who together have created a solution that not only increases productivity and delivers to Government policy directives but makes a real difference to the safety of WA’s police officers and citizens. We are very grateful to work on fantastic projects that use innovation to make such a real-life difference in our world.”

Ajilon has worked with WA Police since 2009 providing Application Support and Project Services that include the award winning Police Justice Information Exchange (WAITTA 2014), Public Sex Offenders Register and Immediate Disqualification Notice system (WAITTA 2013).
