Gallagher Bassett Services Boosts Claims Management with Promapp Business Process Management Software Deployment

Announcement posted by Promapp 06 Jul 2015

Gallagher Bassett Services, the largest multidisciplinary third-party claims administrator in Australia, has announced that it will deploy Promapp cloud-based business process management software across its Australian and New Zealand operations.

Gallagher Bassett employs around 900 people in the region and manages claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, government bodies and self-insured bodies.  The organisation’s national network enables it to rapidly administer claims in the wake of a natural disaster or manage a claims portfolio as part of a complete outsourced program.

Promapp will provide the organisation with a higher standard of capability for automating process approvals and provide teams across the business with the assurance that they are working to the most recent, agreed process.

Gallagher Bassett decided to deploy Promapp following an extensive tender process during which seven solutions were evaluated.  It was Promapp’s usability, tight integration of process diagrams, attractive interface and modular approach that determined it would best be able to support the business in providing a platform for operational excellence and streamlining process change and approvals.  It will provide staff with one source of truth for operational knowledge, where staff and management are confident in the quality and work outputs achieved when following approved processes.

Gallagher Bassett will deploy Promapp's Improvement Module which will provide a central collaboration point to track and report on process breaches and enable the organisation to continually improve the quality of its process library.

Promapp was identified as a tool that could enhance process management activities and at the same time, as Promapp is hosted in the cloud, the solution is easily configured and has negated the need for the business to invest in expensive IT hardware.

With Promapp, Gallagher Bassett are able to publish information updates in a matter of hours and this will be accessible at an individual’s moment of need – a key determinant in the decision to select the Promapp solution.

Promapp will be deployed progressively over the next 12 months, initially within Gallagher Bassett’s Queensland General Insurance division and then into its corporate and workers compensation divisions.
