StorageTek appoints Jose Alba Storage Services Program Manager

Australia, March 19, 2003 - StorageTek (Storage Technology Corp., NYSE:STK), the storage services and solutions expert, has appointed Jos Alba to the new position of Storage Services Program Manager for Australia / New Zealand.
In this new role, Jos is responsible for overall strategy and marketing of StorageTek's storage services program, including the development of StorageTek's remote managed storage services business.
A key part of his role will be driving the trusted advisor model for StorageTek's professional services delivery - an important element of StorageTek's Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) strategy, said Jos.
"Our ILM strategy leverages StorageTek's professional services expertise to help clients design, integrate and manage their storage infrastructure, regardless whether the environment is StorageTek or from other providers," he said.

Jos has over 16 years professional IT experience. Prior to joining StorageTek, he worked for 4 1/2 years with EMC Australia & New Zealand in Professional Services, in roles including Practice Manager and Business Development Manager. Previously, he was an Account Manager at IBM Global Services in the Business Recovery Services group. Jos has also held various roles in Telstra, including Service Consultant responsible for developing and managing customer service level agreements.
