Xero Australia MD Chris Ridd recognised by global awards

MELBOURNE, August 19, 2015 — Xero (@Xero) Australia Managing Director Chris Ridd has won two International Stevie Awards, recognising the accounting platform’s growth and innovation in Australia.

Ridd was the winner of two International Bronze Stevie Awards. Known as the Oscars of the business world, the Stevies are the world's premier business awards. He received awards for Executive of the Year and Innovator of the Year.

Xero’s innovations fix problems and frustrations for small businesses, accountants and bookkeepers alike with elegant, beautifully designed software. Xero has shipped more than 1,000 customer–facing updates in the past 18 months alone.

The awards also recognised Xero’s excellence in establishing a culture of innovation, its processes to continue innovating at a rapid pace, how it measures its developments, and its overall vision. The awards follow Xero being named by Forbes as the World’s Most Innovative Growth Company for the last two years running.
