Vibe Communications partners with Nextgen Networks to extend its cutting edge Network as a Service (NaaS) offering called Intellipath into the Australian market.

Announcement posted by Intellipath 25 Aug 2015

Melbourne, Australia 24 August 2015 - Enabling customers to manage and provision their network and connectivity in real-time is the core focus for New Zealand based Intellipath. A wholly owned subsidiary of Vibe Communications, Intellipath is revolutionising how businesses respond to market opportunities though cost effective, scaleable bandwidth-on-demand.

Intellipath has announced that it has selected Australian Nextgen Networks as their preferred carrier for the backbone of Intellipath’s Australian network. Nextgen owns and operates one of the largest and most resilient Australian fibre networks, which means Intellipath customers will benefit from the increased scale and reach of the Intellipath network as a service (NaaS) offering.

Intellipath is the region’s most flexible bandwidth on-demand service, offering carrier-grade network connectivity between more than 70 data centres globally and more than 5,000 fibre lit buildings in New Zealand and Australia.

Customers use a web-based portal to self-provision and manage their network services in real time, on a pay-as-you-go basis.  This connects customers to a world of content and services previously unattainable for many businesses, due to the significant monthly fixed costs involved.

“Intellipath delivers the network agility our market has been crying out for. It enables businesses to quickly respond to market opportunities, matching their network capacity and reach to their immediate business needs. Intellipath customers are able to deploy connectivity between key locations without the complexity and cost they’ve come to expect” says CEO of Vibe, Rudi Hefer.

"This is the point where smart technology is truly enabling our customers to respond to their market’s needs and gain the competitive advantages that entails. Customers are empowered with the flexibility to instantly deploy connectivity as required and to pay only for what is consumed, allowing them to test markets and cost effectively prototype products and services. It connects them  to one of the most content rich fabrics in the world, which includes Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Megaport, Equinix Cloud Exchange, a range of Internet Exchanges and a plethora of additional providers to follow”, Hefer concludes.

”Nextgen is pleased to have been chosen as Intellipath’s network provider in Australia. We have the perfect capability to satisfy the growing market demand for flexible capacity solutions,” said David Yuile, Nextgen CEO.

Intellipath is currently available in four Australian data centers, and will be available in an additional 30 datacentres by Q4 2015 including all Metronode, Equinix and NextDC facilities. An additional 18 data centres will be announced shortly thereafter. Fibre Lit buildings in New Zealand are available today and Fibre Lit buildings will be available through a selection of Australian Access Providers at the end of Q4 2015.
