Computer Associates celebrates Brumbies 10-year anniversary by continuing one of Rugby Union's longest-running sponsorships
Canberra, Wednesday 16 February, 2005 - Computer Associates (CA) has renewed its commitment to the Canberra-based, Rugby Union team, the Brumbies, by becoming the naming-rights sponsor for 2006 and 2007.
This follows CA's escalation from Foundation sponsor to naming-rights sponsor for the 2005 season.
Gavin Selkirk, Regional Managing Director for Computer Associates said, "CA has committed to being the lead sponsor for several reasons.
"First, Canberra is an important market for us and I believe in putting back into those communities where we do business. Second, we know we're backing one of the greatest teams in Super12 history.
"We've been associated with the Brumbies for nine of their ten-year history and we've been with them through thick and thin. That relationship is important to us."
Rob Clarke, Brumbies Rugby Chief Executive said, "CA is a great supporter of our code and their financial support has been an integral part of the success of the Brumbies team.
"The Brumbies are an exciting, dynamic team to watch and they have an impressive record for producing players who represent Australia as Wallabies. CA's support will help that tradition continue."
