Tintri announces expansion plans for Australia and New Zealand with new appointments

SYDNEY, 22 September 2015 – Tintri, a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualisation and cloud environments, today announced four senior appointments for its Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) operations, to take advantage of the growth potential in the region.

With Graham Schultz heading up the ANZ team as managing director, coupled with the recent $125 million capital raise, Tintri is set up to shake up the storage quo.

Katie Towers has been named as northern region sales manager, Justin Ryan as southern region sales manager, Jason Stegeman as senior systems engineer, northern region and Tim Jones as senior systems engineer for the southern region.

As northern region sales manager for Tintri, Towers is responsible for driving growth and opportunities for the company’s northern region which include New South Wales (NSW), Queensland, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Northern Territory (NT). Prior to Tintri, Towers spent six years at CommVault.

tin Ryan joins Tintri as the company’s southern region sales manager where he is responsible for the growth of the company in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and New Zealand. Ryan has over 13 years’ experience in the ICT industry having worked with multinationals such as VMware, Symantec and HP.

Jason Stegeman has been appointed as Tintri’s senior systems engineer for the northern region. Stegeman has around 20 years’ experience in the ICT industry ranging from pre-sales, technical consulting, infrastructure and operations management, technical writing to project implementation at technology companies such as CGI and Veda.

As senior systems engineer for the southern region, Tim Jones will work closely with Ryan to ensure any technical requirements for Tintri’s customers are met. Jones has extensive IT experience across a range of storage and software vendors, mid-range, mainframe and network platforms. Jones has worked across a variety of roles including systems engineer, technical, enterprise and application architects in organisations such as Datacom, ANZ Bank, National Australia Bank and IBM.

Other recent Tintri hires also include ANZ channel director Mark Migallo and Vanessa Curtis, senior marketing manager for Asia Pacific.

Migallo who oversees the channel and distribution of Tintri’s products and solutions in the ANZ region, has been actively recruiting selected channel partners for Tintri. He was instrumental in securing a distribution agreement for Tintri with Avnet Technology Services at the end of 2014.

Curtis, an experienced marketer has been building and raising awareness of the Tintri brand throughout the region. She is also working closely and supporting channel partners on their Tintri go-to-market strategy.
