GFK research shows that those intending to upgrade to an A4 inkjet will consider products that are reliable, have multiple functions and Wi-Fi connectivity. The versatile Brother Inkjet MFCs deliver value at all of these consideration points. Airprint compatibility and Mopria-certification allows for connectivity with other devices through wireless networking, while the Wi-Fi Direct feature also provides the ability for mobile devices to send documents directly for printing and scanning, saving time by removing the requirement of a computer. To reduce mistakes and wastage, documents can even be previewed and edited on a mobile device before being sent for printing with Brother’s iPrint&Scan mobile app. The flagship model, MFC-J880DW, also features Near Field Communication (NFC), enabling direct connections with NFC-ready smartphones and other devices.
The Brother Inkjet MFCs are pre-installed with advance applications to make personal and office life simpler. A ‘Scan to Office’ function turns scanned documents into editable Word, Excel® and Powerpoint® documents, saving a lot of time and effort. Furthermore, efficiency can be optimised with the option to bypass the need of a computer entirely with WebConnect, which enables users to upload images and documents to popular online services like Dropbox, Facebook or Google DriveTM and can then be printed any time when needed. Distribution of information can be done quickly by scanning the hard-copy documents and sharing them directly from the new inkjets, via e-mail or selected cloud storage sites. There is no need to make use of a computer, to worry about installing scanner drivers or adjusting e-mail settings.
The Brother Inkjet MFCs deliver high quality prints at up to 12ppm monochrome and 10ppm colour (laser comparable). Flexible paper handling* and clear LCD menu navigation** ensure that the Multi-Function Centres® creates high quality results with a user-friendly interface. This series is compatible with Brother’s high yield colour ink cartridges (LC-223BK, LC-223C, LC-223M, LC-223Y – up to 550 pages), for added cost-efficiency. It has strong eco-credentials as well, supporting automatic 2-sided (duplex) printing and featuring ENERGY STAR certification.
