BRAZIL'S GRAZIELA  OBORN LAUNCHES NEW HIGH END FASHION LABEL IN AUSTRALIA 

A new high-end Australian womenswear label founded by Brazilian born Sydneysider Graziela Oborn launches today.  A sophisticated range of exceptional quality, Graziela will cater to women of all sizes. 

The inspiration for Graziela’s debut season is the Louis de Bernieres novel, Birds Without Wings. The book is set in a small fictional Turkish town called Eskibahce, where Turks and Greeks, Christians and Muslims lived in harmony.

Graziela wanted her debut collection to emulate this harmony, to articulate that different styles, trends and purposes can co-exist in her unique capsule pre-launch collection. 

The 13 piece capsule collection features something for the bohemian, the corporate girl, the mother, the minimal trend follower, the casual cool rebel, and the sex kitten.  These are all-season classics that one can wear to the office, to a dinner party or for a walk on the beach.

The collection print, colour palette and quilting detail references the town that inspired the designer and as a tribute she has named the collection Eskibahce.  All the garments have Turkish city names, like the Marmaris Dress and Istanbul skirt.

The range is being ethically produced in an atelier environment and each piece is designed with a hidden message.  Graziela aims to inspire her customers with messages, which will be found in her garments.  Every season the theme will change, but her continual aim is to spread love, positivity and harmony through fashion. 

Each season, Graziela will select one fashionista to design a piece for her following season. The piece will have the aspiring designer’s name in the garment as a way of ‘paying it forward’.  Graziela aims to inspire fellow designers and open a door into the perceived elite world of fashion.
